As part of the hotels ongoing major refurbishment programme, hotel owner Sherry Martin recently announced delightedly that, after having contractors crawling all over the building for nearly three months, the extensive remodelling of the property's internal public areas had been completed.
"We are thrilled with the result and visitors to the hotel's bar, restaurant and lounge areas can expect a super-stylish and updated look" said Sherry. "..it really is an unbelievable transformation and so far our guests are loving it which, after all, is what its all about", she added.
Sherry painstakingly designed the new look and in doing so has sympathetically updated the vibe from "olde-worlde" to what she calls "old-world chique", combining the best of the buildings original features with a streak of modernity. Fake pannelled walls have been ripped back to reveal original brickwork now painted in on-trend colours and upon which various new works of art and oversize ornate mirrors now take pride of place.
Importantly, Sherry has also created additonal lounge or "chill-out" areas where guests can relax in the supreme comfort of several new sofas and armchairs while enjoying pre or post meal drinks or afternoon tea . In order to reflect the demands of our discerning clients, the beautiful hand-crafted sofas have all been sourced from the UK's very finest manufacturer "Duresta". Meanwhile, the armchairs have been made to Sherry's own specifications on a bespoke basis by local upholsterers and feature some very original fabrics.
